ASTROLOGY & VASTU;- 07 FACTS;- 1-Symbols are powerful and have their own language and effects. Right from ancient times, man’s life has been strongly connected with various symbols. Symbols are the introducer of the conscious and the subconscious mind, and should be handled with great care. The human subconscious mind only understands the ‘language of symbols. 2-The expansion of this subconscious mind is in two domains—one, the Inner Mind of man, and second, the Inner Space of a building in which we live. Basically, the human mind gets programmed from the space where it lives, i.e., the space inside a built-up area or building.” 3-The space in a building, as per MahaVastu can be divided into16 Zones. By placing an appropriate symbol/remedy in the appropriate MahaVastu Zone, we can programme our space to fulfil our desires. For example, for a loving relationship with your spouse, put a symbol of Love Birds, which is a MahaVastu remedy in the MahaVastu Zone of Relationships (South-West), and your space gets programmed accordingly. This is also called the Space Programming. 4-Technique of MahaVastu.Similarly, there are numerous MahaVastu Symbols/Remedies, which when kept in the right Vastu Direction/Zone can create wonders by making our Life More Successful, Prosperous, Healthier & Happier .... 5-In astrology as well as astronomy, the zodiac is a 360° circle around the earth, where each of the twelve zodiac signs is 30°.Mankind measures time using concepts and established methods. In astronomy it is simply used as a coordinate system, to mark the positions of celestial bodies. In astrology and the horoscope, though, the zodiac signs have their own meanings. 6-There are twelve zodiac signs, each 30° wide, making a total of 360°, which is the full circle around the earth. They correspond to the same number of constellations of stars in the sky, but the latter are not equally wide. 7-In astrology and the horoscope, each zodiac sign represents a character, a tendency, which affects any celestial body therein. Every planet moves through the zodiac signs (with very differing speed), and changes character according to what sign it occupies at the moment. The planets are the acting forces in the horoscope . THE ZODIAC SIGNS OF THE HOROSCOPE;- Here are the twelve zodiac signs;- Here are the twelve zodiac signs, their English meanings, and keywords for their respective characters in the horoscope: 1-Aries, the Ram= challenging, impulsive 2-Taurus, the Bull = conservative, concrete 3-Gemini, the Twins= communicative, playful 4-Cancer, the Crab= caring, sensitive 5-Leo, the Lion= dominant, proud 6-Virgo, the Virgin= careful, minute 7-Libra, the Scales= negotiating, ethical 8-Scorpio, the Scorpion= hidden, passionate 9-Sagittarius, the Archer= impatient, independent 10-Capricorn, the Goat= ambitious, decisive 11-Aquarius, the Water Bearer= profound, original 12-Pisces, the Fish= searching, submissive ZODIAC SIGN MOTTO;- Each zodiac sign can also be said to have a motto, an expression that helps to clarify its character. Here are the mottos of the twelve zodiac signs in the horoscope: 1-Aries, the Ram "I am." 2-Taurus, the Bull "I have." 3-Gemini, the Twins "I think." 4-Cancer, the Crab "I feel." 5-Leo, the Lion "I want." 6-Virgo, the Virgin "I scrutinize." 7-Libra, the Scales "I balance." 8-Scorpio, the Scorpion "I wish." 9-Sagittarius, the Archer "I see." 10-Capricorn, the Goat "I use." 11-Aquarius, the Water Bearer "I know." 12-Pisces, the Fish "I believe." ZODIAC SIGN ELEMENT & QUALITY;- The characters of the zodiac signs are to a large extent dependent on their astrological element and quality. Every zodiac sign in the horoscope belongs to one of the four Greek elements, which represent four aspects of life: 1-Fire ; Activity 2-Earth ; Materialism 3-Air ; Thought 4-Water ; Emotions Since there are twelve zodiac signs and four elements, there are three signs belonging to each element. There are also three different basic qualities that zodiac signs have: 1-Cardinal; Leading 2-Fixed ; Static 3-Mutable; Following Four elements and three qualities make twelve possible combinations. So, each zodiac sign has its own unique combination of element and quality. QUALITY;- 1-Cardinal 2-Fixed 3-Mutable ELEMENT;-- 1-Fire;--- Arie ,Leo, Sagittarius 2-Earth;---Capricorn,Taurus,Virgo 3-Air;--- Libra,Aquarius,Gemini 4-Water;--Cancer,Scorpio,Pisces NOTE;-In principle, the combination of element and quality that is unique to each zodiac sign in the horoscope, decides what its character is. The elements and qualities of the Zodiac signs ;- ELEMENT;-- 1-Fire = Red, 2-Earth = Brown, 3-Air = Blue, 4-Water = Green QUALITY;- 1-Cardinal = Dark, 2-Fixed = Medium, 3-Mutable = Light WHAT IS THE INFLUENCE OF FIVE ELEMENTS FOR VASTU? INFLUENCE OF FIVE ELEMENTS;- 05 FACTS;- 1-The causative nature of the five elements: Water, Air, Fire, Earth and Space are the key to the study and practice of MahaVastu .We can know the influence of Air, Water, Space, Fire and Earth according to vastu. 2-The foundation of MahaVastu is Sankhya Darshan (Indian Metaphysics), which is the basis of all Indian sciences like Yoga, Ayurveda, Tantra and many more. 3-The entire Universe, whether it is stars, planets, moons, or any form of life, is made up of these five elements. In buildings each direction is dominated by one element - a balanced state being the cause of positive, and an imbalanced state the cause of negative effects. 4-It is the balance or imbalance among these Panchtattva that makes one's Space a virtual heaven or hell. 5-An underground water tank in South Zone will cause anxiety, fire-accidents, restlessness and disturbed sleep. Similarly, the fire placed in North Zone (Zone of Water) will block new opportunities, receipt of payments and lack of orders, as they are attributes of this Zone. So here in these examples, you can see how an imbalanced state of elements in a building creates problematic real-life situations. FIVE ELEMENTS;- 1-WATER;- It is associated with conception of new ideas, clarity of thoughts, creation of new vision, flowing of new opportunities in your life, healing energy, immunity and restoration of health. Water dominates the North direction in buildings. BALANCED STATE;- When Water is in balanced state in a building, the people in such buildings are able to see the larger picture of life. Though their attitude towards life becomes spiritual and philosophical, they are, at the core, essentially, worldly beings. 2-AIR;- Air represents growth in your life. It is also associated with movement, especially rotational movement, so it brings refreshment, fun, joy and happiness in life. This element dominates the East. The Chinese call it the Wood element. BALANCED STATE;- Air gives you the courage to try new things, take risks for your growth and to explore your inner-self. You get to meet people who pave the way for your growth and you perform impressively. 3-FIRE;- Fire is the driving force behind all life processes and thus is equated with money in modern era. It can transform our life with confidence and enthusiasm. South is the direction of Fire. BALANCED STATE;- In its balanced state, Fire brings you fame and recognition among the masses. It gives you zeal, power, strength, confidence and money, which become the driving force behind life and its processes. 4-EARTH;- Mother Earth gives stability. balance, infinite patience and maturity in character are imbued (inspired) by this element. Earth dominates the centre and diagonal directions in every built-up Space. BALANCED STATE;- When balanced, this element induces stability in our life - be it our career, behaviour, relationships, or results of our efforts. It encourages towards a feeling of peace and harmony with the entire world - especially with those related by blood. 5-SPACE;- Space represents expansion, enhancement, extension, spread, communication and even thought process (Mental Space). Space dominates the Western direction. The Chinese call it the Metal element owing to perfect space configuration/combination in metals (Atomic Structure). BALANCED STATE;- In a balanced state, Space gives us the charge of our destiny. It gives us a sense of direction and the ability to get organized, ensuring that we excel in all that we do. Space gives us the knowledge and awareness to understand new, creative and beneficial ideas. WHY ARE THERE 360 DEGREES IN A CIRCLE?- 06 FACTS;- 1-There is a deep riddle hidden in the way that time and space is measured that needs to be explored more closely. Why does a day have 24 hours? Why does an hour have 60 minutes? Why are there 360 degrees in a circle? 2-The Zodiac is a circle around the earth, used in astronomy to pinpoint positions of planets and other objects in our surrounding cosmos. Since ancient times, this circle has been divided into twelve parts, each 30° wide of the circle’s total 360°. Those are the Zodiac signs. They correspond to constellations of stars in the sky, but the latter are not equally wide. Astrology as well as astronomy use the 30° Zodiac division. 3-The Sumerians watched the Sun, Moon, and the five visible planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn), primarily for omens. They did not try to understand the motions physically. They did, however, notice the circular track of the Sun's annual path across the sky and knew that it took about 360 days to complete one year's circuit. Consequently, they divided the circular path into 360 degrees to track each day's passage of the Sun's whole journey. This probably happened about 2400 BC. 4-That's how we got a 360 degree circle. Around 1500 BC, Egyptians divided the day into 24 hours, though the hours varied with the seasons originally. Greek astronomers made the hours equal. About 300 to 100 BC, the Babylonians subdivided the hour into base-60 fractions: 60 minutes in an hour and 60 seconds in a minute. The base 60 of their number system lives on in our time and angle divisions. 5-The Babylonians used a base 60 number system (not base 6). It seems clear that degrees were devised by ancient astronomers who noticed that the sun moved one degree each day (about our fixed Earth) past the stars that appeared to be fixed to an external heavenly sphere. It took one month for the sun to move the 30 degrees from one sign of the Zodiac to the next. 6-Since there are really 365 days in a year (not 360) why isn't a degree defined to be 1/365 of a circle instead of the official 1/360? The current favorite explanation is that the number 360 is a compromise between the solar year of about 365.25 days and the lunar year (consisting of 12 months of 29.5 days each) of about 354.37 days. Of course the months fit well with the Zodiac, which played an important role in their astronomy. ( an ancient calendar showing a year of 360 days has been discovered, so maybe the year at that time was 5 days shorter than our year!) WHY OUR CLOCKS HAVE 24 HOURS IN A DAY ?- 04 FACTS;- 1-There are 12 houses, and 12 signs – and similarly our clocks have 12 hours on them, even though there are really 24 hours in a day. It takes 2 hours for each of the 12 zodiac signs to move across the Eastern Horizon, to “rise.” Therefore we can think we should have 12 time units in our day, not 24, each of which is twice as long as our current hour. But the only reason we would think like this is because we have forgotten about the way ancient astrology divides the signs into smaller units. 2-The first smaller unit within a zodiac sign is, in fact, called hora. And this is where the word hour comes from...This hora division splits each zodiac into halves, giving one half to the Sun (Yang) and the other half to the Moon (Yin). 24 horas rise in the east every day. And this is why the day has 24 hours. 3-As to why the clock face has 12… 12 of the hours belong to the Sun (the daytime) and 12 belong to the Moon (the night). Thus the hora division of the zodiac creates the clock face that you’ve got on your walls and wrists. 4-Explaining why our clocks have 24 hours in a day, archaeologists and astronomers note that the Egyptians had a system of 36 star groups that divided the sky in to equal parts. The 12 constellations of the zodiac each have a pair of star groups above and below known as “decans”, similar to the decks on a ship. WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SIXTEEN? The phases of the moon are related to the 16 kalas with the full moon. These 16 kalas are ruled by the 16 Nitya Devis. They are called Shodasa Nityas. 16 siddhis & attainments, fast of 16 mondays,16 adornments of bride,16 Hindu Samskaras(PURIFICATORY RITES)&16 directions are co-related with each other. 16 DIRECTIONS OF VASTU;- The sixteen quarter winds are the direction points obtained by bisecting the angles between the points on a 16-wind compass rose. The sixteen quarter-winds are;- 1-North by east (NbE), 2-Northeast by north (NEbN), 3-Northeast by east (NEbE), 4-East by north (EbN) in the first quadrant, 5-East by south (EbS), 6-Southeast by east (SEbE), 7-Southeast by south (SEbS), 8-South by east (SbE) in the second quadrant, 9-South by west (SbW), 10-Southwest by south (SWbS), 11-Southwest by west (SWbW), 12-West by south (WbS) in the third quadrant, 13-West by north (WbN), 14-Northwest by west (NWbW), 15-Northwest by north (NWbN) 16-North by west (NbW) in the fourth quadrant. ...SHIVOHAM...
